Great Cold Emptiness is an American Atmospheric Black/Epic Funeral Doom Metal band from Saint Agatha, Maine. Formed in 2014 by multi-instrumentalist, Nathan Guerrette dit Latulippe, the project lyrically and thematically follows Guerrette dit Latulippe's Acadian and New England heritage, folklore, and traditions, while also incorporating themes of deep ecology, homesteading and dark fantasy. The project has been described as being "Acadian Black Metal", as a nod to the other USBM movements based around cultural regions in the USA.
