Gravity Wins Again is: Gareth Allison - vocals, guitar Nicholas Smal - drums, vocals Andrew Maunder - bass Even the biggest bands in the world had to start somewhere small. For rock/punk trio Gravity Wins Again, it's been a longer and more winding process than most, but one thing is for sure: it's finally paying off. From humble beginnings in a bedroom in the small coastal town of East London in South Africa to the bright lights of Cape Town and stages all over the country, it's been onward and upward for this three piece band, consisting of Gareth Allison (vocals, guitar), Nicholas Smal (drums, vocals) and Andrew Maunder (bass, beard). Starting out as a solo acoustic act and releasing the debut CD, "The Lesser of Two Evils' in 2006, founder member Gareth Allison realised that after playing as many shows as possible he wanted to turn his project into a fully fledged rock band. A move to the city of Cape Town and few emails to his friends Nicholas and Drew, and a new and improved GWA emerged and quickly started to turn heads with their blazing guitars, brutally precise drumming, and melodies that camped in concertgoer’s brains for days. A band that isn't shy to hit the road, GWA have undertaken many tours all over South Africa since 2006, visiting most of the nine provinces the country holds, sharing the stage with some of SA's biggest name rock bands along the way. Shows with Prime Circle, The Finkelstiens, Evolver One, Harris Tweed (now known as Dear Reader), Cassette
