Grant Naylor is the portmanteau pseudonym of writers Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, the creators of the popular television series "Red Dwarf". Together they wrote two novelisations based upon the series, "Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers" and "Better Than Life". The audiobooks of these two novels are read by Chris Barrie, who portrays the hologrammatic Arnold J Rimmer in the series. Following their split, both writers went on to write sequels to "Better Than Life"; Rob Grant penned "Backwards", whilst Doug Naylor authored "The Last Human".
