Gorran Kendall is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is a member of The Big Push alongside Ren, Romain Axisa, and Glenn Chambers. He describes his style this way: "I have a variety of different songs; though most incorporate contemporary and popular musical styles, they have their roots in country, folk and rock music. To name a few artists who have inspired me: The Sex Pistols, David Bowie, Jack White, Bob Dylan and many many more." He grew up around Southampton. He began playing violin at the age of 8, then began taking piano lessons at around 10 till around 14. He started playing bass at around 13, learning to play punk tunes, then branching out at 15 into other genres. He planned to attend the music school BIMM Institute [in Brighton?] for a bass course, but switched to singing and songwriting at the last minute at around 19. While at university, Gorran met some guys in a blues band, which resonated with his own musical tastes. He began busking with them, which became his main way to support himself. In 2015, he went on a busking/hitchhiking trip around Europe, which he credits as a turning point in widening his life experience and giving him more to write songs about, as well as strengthening his voice and his confidence. He finished university in 2016.
