Stop Press Goodbye Pluto announce that they have their very first track available to download from mrsvee records. The Hum is available on a compilation of mrsvee artists from http://www.mrsvee.co.uk/manifesto/download.php An EP from Goodbye Pluto will be released on mrsvee in 2009. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goodbye Pluto played their first practice session in Hertford on 19th August 2006 as an unnamed combo. The band is: Simon Clarke - Drums Alan Dobson - Keyboards Fraser Marshall - Bass Max Rael - Keyboards Paul Stagg - Guitars PJ le Whams - Guitars None of them can really sing. The set list comprised Marillion's Market Square Heroes, Deep Purple's Hush and Hawkwind's classic Silver Machine. MSH went fine. The other two didn't quite happen, but it didn't matter because the band were happier playing extended prog jams with lyrics about going shopping or phoning the helpline for a well known brand of bottled water. It was oft-shambolic, frequently hillarious and sometimes out of tune, but there were bits of genuinely good music that made the band think they had something going for them. Most of all, it was bloody funny and a good laugh. Top that off with a curry and a load of beer and you have the spirit of prog in a nutshell.
