Good Looking Pigs were formed in Merseyside, UK in 2012. The two frontier Pigmen are Sam Bird and Pete Wilson whom fell upon the idea of the band over evenings of fine wine where lyrical musings and Lovecraftian depression were discussed. Together they took on the roles of both vocalists and lyricists. Sam & Pete recruited Dean Hughes and G.O.A.T. (Jack Winstanley) to provide musical accompaniment to the existing lyrics. In June 2012 the first demo was recorded by Dean. Empty Shelf.had Sam & Pete provide multiple layers of vocals over a Dean strummed acoustic guitar track. This lyrically driven style was declared as pig-punk after the first listen. Further recordings are planned and the first iteration of Empty Shelf is available to listen to and download via Last.fm & Soundcloud. The band will soon have a web presence via Tumblr and Youtube.
