Artist
Gomer Hendrix was influenced at an early age by Frank Zappa and Weird Al Yankovic. There are many artists he's proud to cover, but it was mainly these two guys and Oingo Boingo that inspired him to write his own style of music. He's been to every State in the U.S., toured some in Europe, and Mexico. He's done a wide variety of engagements - performing for thousands at a President Reagon benefit (the Hilton where he got shot, but it only winged him) to 2 dudes in a bar in Alabama - and everything in between. Gomer has appeared in San Francisco bay area clubs, on radio stations KZSU Stanford, Radio Free Berkeley, KPFA Berkeley, SFSound Comcast, Pacifica's Laugh Locally program, and on the Bruce Latimer show. He can entertain crowds with a band and his electric guitar shredding, or with just his voice and an acoustic guitar. He has also performed in France, Germany, England, Holland, Spain, and Ireland.
