Meet Gold Celeste, a brand new Norwegian psych-pop band inspired by crispy lo-fi sounds from the 60s, the eccentrics and adventurers of the 70s, the DIY indie-gazers, and dissident hip-hoppers of the 80s and 90s, blending an animated and vibrant sonic palate of refreshing guitars, nimble drums, frisky bass guitars, bursting organs, and earnest, lyrical vocals. The band met in Trondheim while studying music, and recorded their debut album in the studio ran by singer and bass player, Simen. Gold Celeste released their debut album «The Glow» in September 2015 to great reviews all over, did a selection of European concert dates before Christmas 2015, and released their fantastic follow-up single "The Wonder Of Love in December 2015. After the release of “The Glow” in 2015, they moved to Oslo where they’ve been frolicking in a damp and cluttered rehearsal space/makeshift studio, recording hours upon hours of music. They embrace the analog process of recording live jams, taping trio song skeletons, and continuously expand their musical toolbox. Through this Gold Celeste has elevated their arrangements and their follow-up record "The Gentle Maverick" is a spirited and eager voyage. May 1st, 2020 Gold Celeste released their new single "Eye of the Storm", and on May 22nd the four-track EP «Common Ground» was released. Golden times, celestial vibes!
