Artist
Godfried-Willem Raes was born in Ghent, Belgium in 1952. This is where, in 1991, he designed and build the Tetrahedron building, to hosts the Logos Foundation concert activities. He created various contemporary music ensembles, like the Logos Group (1968), the Logos Duo with partner Moniek Darge, the Man and Machine ensemble of musical robots (M&M, etc). A prolific instrument builder since 1968, he created several dozens music instruments, including automats, modified classical instruments and sensor/captor based electronic devices. He says those captors work better with nude bodies, hence his numerous naked apparitions. See the Catalogue of Instrument page on Logos Foundation for more info on Raes’ creations. www.logosfoundation.org/index-god.html User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
