Based on a nineties nostalgia, songwriter Kristian Rasmussen has created a universe of catchy, dreamy, indie rock for a guy and a girl in front. Melancholic, noisy guitars are never far away, but in the lightness of the beautiful melodies lies the promise of the good life and a sense of belonging - only really lost, if you don't join in. That's the gold the band Go for Gold is digging for in their debut EP. Gold lies in the attempts to live the good life. Copenhagen based band formed in fall 2010. Influences: The Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, Kate Bush, Pixies, Placebo, Radiohead, The National and who knows what else. Biography: After searching in the world of the contemporary indie music scene, songwriter and primus motor Kristian Rasmussen decided to cast the surrounding worlds' demands and taste aside and indulge his love for the dreamy and noisy pop/rock scene of the late eighties/early nineties and try with his musical upbringing in mind to make that sound a sound of his own - felling in love with noisy guitars, tambourines, distant pianoes and no-bullshit drums surrounding catchy tunes. Deciding that music should be center stage in his life once again, he sat out on a half year songwriting marathon in his 10 kvm room on Nørrebro, Copenhagen. A half year with headphones on from early morning to late night - writing lyrics in the classes at Copenhagen University, humming tunes on the job at the National Gallery - constantly his mind evolved around
