Since 2001, Global Funk relentlessly toured the nation; and in the process, transformed itself from a run-of-the-mill jazz/funk outfit to a freewheeling Rock & Roll monster willing to challenge audiences with epic genre-bending compositions. Often short original and cover songs will veer off into improvisational byways that keep people dancing, while exploring new facets of funk, house, latin, reggae and rock. Global Funk is crazy enough to be a favorite for all-night dance parties, while maintaining enough jazz sensibilities to play upscale events such as The Monterey Jazz Festival.
