Ever since their first encounter, Glimlip and Yasper have been collaborating to create instrumental hip-hop with jazz influences. Rotterdam-based producer Glimlip mixes live instruments with computer beats. Amsterdam-based guitarist Yasper is fascinated by jazz as well as soul and hip-hop. For their album Undertones, the two have collaborated with artists from Dutch hip-hop and jazz. Live on stage, their music sounds more abrasive than on record, inspired by role models such as Flying Lotus, Robert Glasper, and Jordan Rakei.
