Asa Asuncion (popularly known as Gleesh or Yung Gleesh) was born in 1989. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and before becoming a rapper, he was a percussionist in TOB, a go-go band he co-founded. The Washington D.C. based artist has worked with Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, Yung Lean, A$AP Mob, Playboi Carti and Fat Trel among others. His name rose to larger heights through the release of several mixtapes showcasing his dark and sometimes comedic style of street rap. He's also known for popularizing his signature footwork dance move, the "Gleesh Walk", shown in various videos, most notably A$AP Rocky’s ‘Multiply’ music video.
