Glass Tiger is a Canadian rock band from Newmarket, Ontario, formed in 1981. The band's members include vocalist Alan Frew, bassist Wayne Parker, keyboardist Sam Reid, and guitarist Al Connelly, with drummer Michael Hanson as part of the original lineup. The band was initially called Tokyo before changing its name to Glass Tiger in 1983. Glass Tiger has released five studio albums. Their 1986 debut, "The Thin Red Line", produced by Jim Vallance with a vocal cameo by Bryan Adams on the lead single "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)", went quadruple platinum in Canada and gold in the United States. Both "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)" and "Someday" reached the top 10 in the U.S. charts. The band won three 1986 Juno Awards for Album of the Year, Single of the Year, and Most Promising Group of the Year, with Vallance receiving Composer of the Year. They won additional Juno Awards in 1987 and received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Glass Tiger toured the United States with Journey and Europe with Tina Turner. The band's second album, "Diamond Sun" (1988), was certified triple platinum in Canada and featured the single "I'm Still Searching", which peaked at number two in Canada. Hanson left the band following this album. Their third album, "Simple Mission" (1991), was released by Capitol Records, received radio play in Canada and Europe, and was certified platinum in Canada. The band went on hiatus in 1993 and reformed in 2003 with new drummer Christopher McNeil. Glass
