Give Away Your Hearts formed in 2006 with founding members Bryan Ashmore (A.K.A. "Ash") and Joel C. Bennett. Their musical bond was formed out of a shared love for paint-peeling arena anthems of the '70s and '80s, Brit pop swagger, and R&B soul. Setting out to create huge soundscapes without pretense or posture, GIVE AWAY YOUR HEARTS is a breath of fresh air in the southern CA surf town of Ventura, California. Ashmore, a published author and wordsmith, and Bennett, from the Chicago indie-favorite Blue Shade Witness are joined by bassist Joshua Nordgren (of Acoustic Diary) & drummer Rick Border. Give Away Your Hearts recorded their dynamic self-titled E.P. with Chicago producer Aaron Ruse, set for fall 2008 release on OK WaveForm records.
