Give Away The Plot was an Iowa-based alternative rock band, forming in mid-2006, with original members Andy Ferris, Shawn Hoffman, Jake Nichols, and Seth McDuffee. Under the original band's premise, taking four individual song-writers, and creating a collective sound. The band's first album, "The Ecliptic," (2007) was a concept record, delving into different people's reactions, at a would-be apocalypse. Following the release of "The Ecliptic," (and the departure of McDuffee), the band spent over two years writing and recording (with several different live bassists,) of what would become their second album, "Mannequin Peepshow." A darker, but richer look into what this progressive alt-rock outfit would evolve into, with no concept attached, the group had room to grow with their sound, and branch into different musical landscape. In early 2010, between the recording and mixing process of the record, the band called it quits. Albeit, Give Away The Plot disbanding in April 2010, their second record was released to the public on October 5th, 2010, limited to only 100 exclusive hard-copies, followed by a digitally distributed release.
