Artist
Giuseppe Giamberti (* around 1600 in Rome ; † around 1662 in Rome) was an Italian baroque conductor and composer. Giuseppe Giamberti received his musical training from Giovanni Bernardino Nanino and Paolo Agostini , as he mentions on the title page of his poetry various . He initially succeeded Fabio Constantini (around 1575 - after 1644) as Kapellmeister at Orvieto Cathedral , after which he also held this position in two churches in his hometown. Thanks to his teachers, he was a master of the polyphonic style. His four-part mass "Veni sponsa Christi" is important; he also created a number of motets and antiphons of the same high quality and many other sacred compositions. A few secular works for guitar and some singing and playing pieces show that he was also open to musical developments beyond that.
