Artist
Giovanni Verrando ( San Remo , 1965 ) is an Italian composer. He was a pupil of, among others, Franco Donatoni, Giacomo Manzoni, Niccolò Castiglioni and Tristan Murail. His works have been performed by major international ensembles such as the Arditti Quartet , the Ensemble Intercontemporain , the Percussions de Strasbourg el Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI , which in 2007 he recorded his monographic record. It is one of the founders of Repertoire Zero , a non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary music, with particular attention to electric instruments, which won the Silver Lion at the 2011 Venice Biennale.
