Giovanni Battista Gaiani (1757, Bologna - 1813, Bologna) was an Italian composer and organist. A student of Giovanni Battista Martini and was elected to the Accademia filarmonica in 1781. He served as maestro di cappella in several churches in Bologna. most importantly the church of Santa Maria della Morte. In 1802 he was harpsichordist at the Teatro Communale.
