Gin Shaker Yodex is a poptronic project formed in D.F., México. It started in 2002. Vintage synths,and delayed textures crash onto basic cheesie guitars. square dislexic rhytyms over micro sparkling percutions takes the wheel on this rusty pirate boat. Juan Carlos Matus has been working as a musical selector under the Yodex alias since 1997 starting as former mexican electrofunk band Dapuntobeat .He's been part of Spanish Nerd Sound System crew and former Atlético Sound System art club. He founded Sound Sister Records with his midi rocker band mates Casio Commanders . Now he spins the decks whenever he gets invited promoting the "Llanerismo Diyeril" style, ruff cut on the turntables, fifteen years of non maching beats, non blending bars and defenetly just throwing offbeat tunes. Music Selection over Chirurgic boring virtuosism. He's part of the Groove Trotters team with whom he produces the Soulimbo radio show. A black roots music driven program that can be heard every Tuesday from 10 pm to 12 am ( ct ) on Radio Global . Nowadays he´s been busy on the Super Culebras music project with Casio Commander's old time partner Cocobasco.More Info...
