GimerStick was formed in the late summer of 97 in hopes to reach the youth of their town. The 8 piece Ska/Punk band was a product of a local youth group in the East Wenatchee area in Washington. GimerStick is totally commited to God and his son and savior Jesus Christ. GimerStick had their first concert at a youth group retreat in the fall of '97 and had another in Wenachee the next week which brought in approximatlly 200 people. They are known for throwing various objects into the crowd during their shows such as beach balls, candy, and gimerstickers. They are also known for endless skanking and jumping into the crowd at various times. But, this doesn't over shadow what their music is all about. They give 100% to God and let people know that in their songs. GimerStick's ministry has grown very rapidly in the past 6 months. A week after their first show, they finished recording their 4 song demo CD with Darik Peet Productions and Springwater Records. Soon after the the song "A New Hope" (now called "On The Double") was put on the Compilation CD "Connect the Dots" put out bye Let's Jet records, a label started by Jason Anderson from Squad Five-0 and Aaron Empsall. After all this good news the band took a break from shows to work on more songs but tragic news struck when lead singer and trumpet player Mark Allen's father was killed in a car accident. The band took it easy for awhile to comfort their friend and his family in their time of grieving. Looking t
