Gil La has always had a passion for music. He grew up in Los Angeles after coming here from his birth place Saigon, Vietnam in 1975. He was raised in a family of musicians that taught him music appreciation as a way of life. Constantly engulfed in classical music and various genres from all over the world, he discovered his passion for electronic music in the early 80’s. This passion has transcended into an obsession after teaching himself how to dj from watching the pioneers of trance in the 90’s. Now one of LA's rising trance stars, he has been making his mark in the scene with an overwhelming presence. Gil plays a very active part of the west coast scene with regular gigs for Spundae LA, Avalon, Circus and throwing parties of his own with the top rising locals and international djs. He has shared the stage with the top acts in the dance industry which include Tiesto, Markus Schulz, Solarstone, Andy Moor, Johan Gielen, Lange, George Acosta, Ronski Speed, Sean Tyas, MIKE, Matthew Dekay, 4 Strings, Alex Morph, Robert Nickson and Filo & Peri. Gil also does mixes monthly for his internet residencies on Crystalclouds.com and internet radio giant, ETN.FM. You can catch his show, Mixed Emotions broadcasted every 3rd Sunday of the month at 3PM PST on ETN.FM.
