Get Crucial: Francesca Cowan, Mikey White and Andrew R Doig, formulated the band plan at winters inception, 2006. Doig previously rocked Bardens Boudoir, but had tired of running an unrewarding show. The dude was not a natural, and he threw down the Bardens mantle in a glorious drunken meltdown. This stint was not without its benefits however. Mikey White had walked into the venue circa Bardens year one, 2005, previously of an embryonic Cat On Form, now a sticksman without the sticks. The duos mutual dig of Black Eyes led to months of unfocused jam time. Summer 2006: a project with Jussi Brightmore of Infants was breaking down due to the two flaking out on booze and depression. In it's wake White retreated to Haywards Heath, leaving Doig bandless, Bardensless and stewing in destruction. Francesca Cowan came to mind when, finally, Doig took steps to putting together a new troupe at summers end. A member of avant popsters 'Wolfie', talk of Unwound, Gu'vner and the like, as inspiration for the group, convinced the girl. Meanwhile, Mikey White was back in the city, revitalized and geared up over the idea also. Finally they were getting it together. A few ear-splitting jams in Doigs bedroom later, the trio made their debut at a friends Christmas house party. By early new year, 'Get Crucial' were bashing out an early version of 'Planes', along with what was to become their initial set.
