Please note that the official and preferred spelling for this artist is Gerritsen en Van Dijk. It was a one-off duo project of two veteran Dutch rock musicians: Rinus Gerritsen (1946), bass player of Golden Earring, and Michel van Dijk, who was singer of several different bands over the years, but at the time of this collaboration most recently in the succesful symphonic rock band, Alquin. The duo recorded one album, simply called Gerritsen en Van Dijk (1979), to good reviews but very little commercial success. The album was released in North America under the 'internationalised' moniker and album title, Garrison & Van Dyke.
