Until GERRI GRANGER by chance won a amateur night contest at Teddy Powell's Lounge in Newark, N.J. When she was 14, she had no thoughts of becoming a professional singer, but, it was apparent and quickly acknowledged that GERRI has a "GIFT", that would not be stilled. She would go on to pursue her many other Talents and Life, but always, always, there was her singing.... After graduation from Weequarhic Hugh School in Irvington, N.J., Gerri received an Art Scholarship to study Industrial Design, finishing at New York University. Meanwhile...She had also begun to sing throughout the area with Lloyd Price 15 piece band. "That's when I fell in love with the "BIG BAND" sound Determination has always played a big part in Gerri Granger's life when she crashed landed on a solo flight, where she lived in Nigeria, West Africa, it made her more determined than ever to get her private pilot license. So back to the States and a Colorado Flight School. When she was told she had to speak German to sing on a German TV series, back she went to Switzerland (where she also lived awhile) to take an intensive Language course. What is GERRI GRANGER up to now? After what she calls her "Hiatus" from the stage, she has taken her "Act" on the "High Seas" .... Where you might catch her sailing to "anyplace" that's "far-away," where she has never been before.
