Artist
Georgie Celestine is a classically trained musician from Australia. Piano remains her forte, but since teaching herself guitar at the age of thirteen, she has treated it as her primary instrument. Georgie was in a band named GriddLecaeKe (later The Funky Monkey Powered Turbo Fish With Hair) for a couple of years, playing piano, occasionally guitar, and most of the amateur percussion. Songwriting was her passion and she began writing songs for the group including My Drumsticks Made A Hole In My Bag and the ineptly titled Rox My Sox. Georgie's songwriting shifted from that of a pop-punk genre to an acoustic genre shortly after TFMPTFWH disbanded. She gave up writing and returned to the drawing board - learning. This included a brief stint of covers of songs uploaded to YouTube including Shine by Plain White T's and Right Here With Me by Ben Jorgensen. Georgie does not consider herself an artist; simply a hobbyist, and has stated, "my stuff isn't that good. I just sing and play and share. I don't mean to make it big - it'd be nice, but it's just something I do for fun, on the side". She has written several songs including Reflections and With You, but her interest lies in acoustic guitar improvisations. Her influences include Ben Jorgensen, James Morrison and Packwood. She has not moved on from music, but it remains a subset of her web design and photography work.
