Georgi Stanchev (Георги Станчев) (born on 1 June 1951 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian singer, songwriter and composer who becаme famous in the early 80s. He was vocalist for the popular rock band "Diana express" in the years 1979-1981 and at that time his song "Душа" ("Soul") won "Melody of the year" award (1980). Later he started a solo career and achieved great success, especially with the song "Шепот" ("Whisper") - special reward on "Schlagerfestival", Dresden. Other remarkable songs are "На раздяла" ("At parting"), "Миг от детството"("A moment in childhood"), "Моята любов е в моята музика за теб" ("My love is in my music for you"), "Ти ужасно закъсня" ("You were awfully late"), the last one covered by Antibiotika.
