Artist
George Guidall (b. 1938) is a veteran actor with a theatrical career spanning four decades, plus a handful of television appearances. His stage work was recognized with an Obie Award for best performance Off-Broadway. In more recent years, however, Guidall has become best known as one of the most acclaimed voice talents in the audiobook industry. With more than 900 unabridged books already under his belt and still counting, he is also one of its most prolific narrators. He has read classics such as Don Quixote and The Iliad in addition to more modern fare, notably Tony Hillerman's Navajo Tribal Police mysteries, Stephen King's Dark Tower novels and Lilian Jackson Braun's entire Cat Who series. His achievements in this medium include two Audie Award wins for Best Narration as well as multiple Earphone Awards from AudioFile magazine. He has also created the program "An Evening with George Guidall: The Art and Artifice of Audiobook Narration," which he frequently performs at libraries around the US.
