Artist
George Clarke recorded three sides for Bluebird in August 1936. This amounts to the total recorded output of this harmonica player. Although recorded in Chicago, Clarke's playing has a delicate, mournful quality that typifies the rural blues harmonica player. His tone is low and wavering with an approach that reminds one of jug band harp players like Noah Lewis.
