Gentouki is the music unit and moniker of acclaimed songwriter-producer Jun Tanaka. Gentouki formed as a band in 1995 and had their major debut in 2003. Gentouki has continued as Jun Tanaka's solo venture since 2008. September 2016 marks Gentouki's first album release since 2006. Famous illustrator Yusuke Nakamura is closely related to Gentouki and provides most of the CD artwork.
