GeniusD, DJ and Producer GeniusD, DJ and Producer How it all begun GeniusD was born on the 12th of April 1981, the day that the first space shuttle (Colombia) flew around the world. Music was the inspiring force in GeniusD's life, on his 10th birthday he received his first radio/cassette player. He listened to it every second of a day. On the age of 14 he got a old computer from his dad's work and got the old style Fasttracker 2 program. Starting to sample and recreate some old Hardcore tracks from the Dutch Gabber scene. The love for remixing was born. After a while he learned the basics of producing and started to make his own tracks. Inspired by the big party's organised in the Netherlands he decided to become a DJ. He started with saving money and bought his first turntable at the age of 17. In a short while he managed to DJ pretty well and started with a couple of friends a party called Nightvibes, which started out as a phenomenon in the region of Utrecht. In 2008 he got in contact with the guys from Trance.Fm and became a resident on the DJ Channel. On the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month he spins his dj-set " GeniusD presents Trance-Fusion". In 2008 GeniusD also got in contact with the Swiss band The Bianca Story and did 2 remixes for them. He also spinned the records in the Kaserne in Basel on May 2008 for the album release party.
