about

Formed in 2002 the Danish band Genie Dean have an original sound, both rock and pop punk, with a clear inspiration that can be traced back to the Swedish rock scene. In Genie Dean’s song writing the pursuit for a great melody and an ear-catching chorus is key. The tracks posses both raw in-your-face-attitude, but also noteworthy thoughtfulness. The lead vocals elegantly compliment each other while guitar define the universe of the songs that are intensely built up by bass and drums. Genie Dean make songs that moments are remembered by, but more than anything Genie Dean make songs that make you want to get out of your seat. Genie Dean have been played several times on Danish national Radio (Danmarks Radio) and performed live on national TV. Genie Dean have just released their second EP called “Favourite Trainers”. Live Genie Dean are in their right element, always giving an contagiously energetic performance with a good sense for interacting with both the crowd and each other. In 2004 - 2005 Genie Dean played more than 50 live concerts at various festivals and venues in Denmark.
