Geneviève Toupin is a Canadian Francophone singer-songwriter. She was born and raised in St-Claude, Manitoba. Her grandmother was an accomplished musician, who inspired Geneviève to sing and to play the piano and guitar. She spent some time in Paris, France when she was 19. There, she spent her evenings composing songs at a rehearsal studio. On her return, she studied at l'École national de la chanson de Granby, in Québec.
