Generation Graveyard (aka Gengrave), are inspired by urban isolation, substance dependence and social upheaval - they are not ones to mix their words and refuse to be pigeon-holed. Mixing together a myriad of influences from hardcore, black metal delivered with a vicious punk venom Gengrave have established themselves as an antithesis to UK music's stagnant alternative scene. Playing shows in support of their politically charged and alarmingly accurate prediction of a post-riot stricken London, "Poison City" EP. Gengrave have shared stage with many, including: Black Breath, Viking Skull, Warrior Soul, The Defiled, Senser and Zodiac Mindwarp. Although considered a demo, "Generation Graveyard" (their first EP), was received positively for its dark driven sound and extreme no bullshit approach to subjects often avoided by most. Bringing their post apocalyptic vision lyrically and visually Gengrave have changed their focus on their new EP "We are the Empty". Shifting their focus to a more personal level, reflecting the discord of more recent times, line-up changes and other issues have left them scarred but resilient. With the new EP and line-up armed to the teeth, Gengrave are prepared to launch into a full blown assault against everything including the powers that be and even themselves.
