Gen Strike, (a stylisation and abbreviation of The Almighty General Strike) is a rock and roll Influenced punk band hailing from Columbus. Ohio. Founded by J. Chaos and Mike Alcohol on April 1st 1998 in Zanesville, the band started with simple punk songs but over the years incorporated a more rock and roll sound blended with their pranksterism and unique comedy stylings. The band relocated to Columbus in 2001 gaining a cult following throughout the area. lead guitarist Jason Timebomb joined in 2004. In their 25 year career the band has released six albums, one EP, five singles and one "Best Of" album. On New Year's Eve of 2022 the band released "The Plaid Album" with no signs of slowing down.
