Gate 7 was started in 1990 in North Charleston SC. The name Gate 7 was the brain child of it's original bass player Sean Conearny, taken from the name of a Greek soccer/football team. It recorded an unsuccesful demo album in 1997 called Gold, the tracks for which can be found on icompositions.com under the artist Surak. Billy Powell the original and only guitar player has taken over the mantle and does all the guitars, bass and drum programming himself. the original Gate 7 info follows.
