In 1990 Gary Wiggins, a saxman from Detroit who had just arrived in Berlin, put together a new band. Together with drummer Zam Johnson and Reinhard Schubert he formed the Gary Wiggins Group. They recorded the CD "Time for Saxin'" in a Berlin studio within 3 days. For the next 3 years they were touring all over Germany, Switzerland and Holland, playing BAM - Black American Music - a mixture of R&B, soul, funk, fusion and jazz.
