The Game Brothas, Carmelo Lopez and Halik Stewart, have a sound all their own, but are reminiscent of Run DMC and EPMD, and are frequently compared to OutKast. Halik, originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, first met his counterpart Carmelo in high school in Oakland, CA. But it wasn’t until later, in college, that they hooked up to combine their lyrical skills and musical styles as the Game Brothas. Their sound is a hard hitting and lyric driven experience that reflects Bay Area street life and it’s night scene. The Game Brothas have an unmistakable west coast hip-hop sound with southern undertones. Their beats range from hard street slap to rock inflenced hip-hop anthems and electronic club beats. Their original sound has gained street recognition in the Oakland-Bay Area as well as securing fans across the globe. The Game Brothas are featured on “Priceless” with Lil’ Wayne and Matt Blaque, mixed by Oakland’s finest - Jim Gardner of Pajama Studios. This song was produced and put together by Rich Kidd Productions. The Game Brothas are the first to Rep the Bay and the South, which is what makes their sound so unique and mesmorizing. Their music also features the talents of collaborating artists such as Kemal The Godfather, Liquorsypscent, Tic Toc Da Titan and have also collaborated with local producers, Rich Kidd Productions, The Experts crew and more. The Game Brothas have released two albums that were sold throughout the west coast and have received over 3,000,000 plays on
