Gabriel Lee Garber was born in southeast Texas on October 17, 1986. Thirteen years later, his parents bought him his first guitar for his birthday, and he has been making music ever since. Gabriel is one of the founding members of Impure Jazz, an aggressive/progressive experimental/instrumental power trio from Indiana. He has also performed with local groups Dialectic and DBur. As a musician, Gabriel's style is as diverse as his influences. In solo settings, Gabriel utilizes looping to construct layers of melodies and harmonies, and to create ambient soundscapes. He also dabbles in other forms of music, creating remixes and writing soundtracks. In a band environment, Gabriel blends his focused and deliberate style with his energetic performances and passionate creativity. He is also very hairy.
