Gabriel Burns is the name of a German series of mystery audio dramas for adults. Producer and director of the series is Volker Sassenberg after a story by Raimon Weber and Volker Sassenberg. The first episode was released in 2003. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 the series received a German Hörspiel-Award. It's the story of taxi driver Steven Burns, who is approached by a mysterious stranger, calling himself Bakerman, to play detective in a strange case. One of the biggest secrets of the series: why is Steven called "Gabriel" by a strange being during a near death experience and why is this no surprise to Bakerman?
