Gabbo Fritzpatrick is "just another dumb blonde", or at least is how his producer Timbaland has labeled him. He also named him "one of the top promises of the first three months of 2008" and "a person of mass destruction". Born and raised in New York's Upper East Side, the world's neighbourhood where more multimillionares live, Gabbo enjoyed a life of parties, fund raising cocktails, masquerade balls and a high profile school-life where he met (and sometimes confronted) the likes of The Strokes' drummer Fabrizio Moretti or Ivanka Trump. Gabbo always had a thing for fun so he thought the world needed some in these desperate times where Avril Lavinge is embraced as an "artiste" and started her own one-man rebellion though pop covers of shitty music. The rebellion started with "La La Na Na Whatever" a non stop pop tour-de-force where Gabbo builds a "Blackout" sound-like that tries 80s blonde pop such as "Lucky Star" or "Holiday" using Ashlee Simpson's first hits. He is taking a step forward with "Ass Lee" where he covers Ashlee Simpson's third album even before it was released. The result is the party albums that makes 2008 sound like 1986 through modern technology and modern songs but in a retro way. Gabbo himself pushes his five-octane vocal register to sound like Cindy Lauper did! I just cannot wait for his take on Fergie!
