GP The Grain (formerly GP Wu, GP stands for Gladiator Posse) are a hip hop group from Staten Island. They used to be closely affiliated with the Wu-Tang Clan and it's affiliate Shyheim (through mentions on both of his albums) but the two groups beefed in 2008 and the group changed their name from GP Wu to GP The Grain and released a track dissing the Wu-Tang Clan, mainly Masta Killa and a few other members. The group released their debut album Don't Go Against The Grain on MCA Records during the heyday of the Wu-Tang brand in 1998. The group consists of: Down Low Recka Rubbabandz June Luva Pop Da Brown Hornet (who is the cousin of Ghostface Killah) Pop Da Brown Hornet released his debut solo album The Undaground Emperor on 2000, also on MCA.
