GERT 3000 started in 2007 with a breakcore release on dramacore, in the same time he teamed up with top notch producer fan erhalder to release 'samantha fox', a minimal techno ep on geilomat records, a swiss vinyl label. A month later he released the controversial 'Disco Hitler' ep on the american lobit netlabel mp3death. This release was badly received in germany and ignored in the rest of the world. Nevertheless, he continued to release as GERT 3000, sometimes alone, sometimes with close mates like fan erhalder, aunderwex and joel gold. Beside that he is part of the monthly radio show synapse.fm where they bring local djs and liveacts to support minimal techno and electro. Since 2003 he runs the first lobit netlabel called 20kbps rec. As a DJ he prefers spinning wonky and experimental techno, acid, booty bass, and true happy hardcore. Joel Gold started as a DJ back in the middle of the nineties, spinning various styles of electronic music. He was considerably successfull as he played in almost all hip clubs, festivals and radio-shows during this period. Being bored with mere playing other guys tracks, he started making music himself and discovered his passion for techno. But still open to other forms of music, he became part of daftN0!ze and they released a digital hardcore vinyl on the singaporean re.start violence label. A rather unknown project where he was involved in, together with fan erhalder, was tekzed rebelz, which standed for hard techno, the lover's choice.
