GE+IM is theproject of 直祈 (Naoki) (formerly known as yuhma in Luzmelt), formed in 2015. Similar to Luzmelt, GE+IM's music incorporates a mixture of alternative metal and electronic music, often accompanied by some sort of voice modulation. This project's concept is centered around a mad doctor, which Naoki takes the role of. All of the other members of the band are support members that rotate for live performances, and typically have their face covered by masks in their promotional photo shoots. GE+IM originally formed as a prototype band named +D.N.P+ . +D.N.P+ was active in the summer of 2015 and played songs that would eventually end up being a part of GE+IM's discography. Their last show was on August 12th, followed shortly by an announcement that Naoki would then switch his focus to a permanent band: GE+IM. As GE+IM, the band held its first live on November 14th, 2015 entitled "XとYの集中治療 Lv.1," and it had an attendance limitation of 50 people. They also sold their first single at this show, entitled "ドラスティック-STU-" (DRAMATIC-STU-) and priced at 500 yen. This single was later available for purchase through the band's webshop, referred to as the "Drug Store" on their home page. GE+IM's second single, "解剖イデオロギー"(Kaibou IDEOLOGY), was sold at Naoki's birthday event, "XとYの集中治療 Lv.2" on March 30th, 2016.
