Artist
G3 GELO is LiAngelo Ball, a rapper and former professional basketball player from Chino Hills, California. LiAngelo is the middle of three sons born to LaVar and Tina Ball. Both of his siblings play in the NBA: his older brother Lonzo plays for the Chicago Bulls, while his younger brother LaMelo plays for the Charlotte Hornets. The three gained national attention in 2017 when LaVar began touting Lonzo's talents ahead of that year's NBA draft, claiming he was a better point guard than Magic Johnson and Steph Curry. LaVar spent much of his time publicly promoting his "Big Baller Brand" of athletic clothes and sneakers while claiming all three of his sons would play in the NBA. LiAngelo attended UCLA, the same school Lonzo went to, but was suspended after an incident where him and some teammates were arrested stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vitton store in Hangzhou, China. His father eventually pulled him from school and had him enter the NBA draft, where LiAngelo was not selected. In 2018 LiAngelo played pro ball in Lithuania with his younger brother. After the family returned to the US, LiAngelo dealt with an injury and was unable to land on any NBA rosters. After LaMelo joined the NBA, LiAngelo became the source of some ridicule online for being unable to make the league. He most recently played two games for the Astros de Jalisco of the Mexican basketball league. In January 2025, LiAngelo released his first single as a rap artist, "Tweaker." The song quickly went viral
