βG-Tone (born 1987) is a Burmese rapper, producer, and songwriter. He is recognized as a prominent figure in Myanmar's second generation of hip-hop artists, contributing significantly to the genre's evolution in the country. As a founding member of the hip-hop group Cyclone, G-Tone has been influential in shaping the Burmese hip-hop scene.β G-Tone began his musical journey in 2001 at the age of 14, initially performing with a band named YGN. The group later evolved into Cyclone, comprising G-Tone, his elder brother Thuta, and a friend. His early exposure to hip-hop came through his brother, who introduced him to the genre and mentored him in composing, producing, and performing. By 2006, G-Tone had specialized in music production, creating tracks for notable Burmese artists such as Anegga and J-Me. As a member of Cyclone, G-Tone played a pivotal role in Myanmar's hip-hop scene, particularly during the rise of the second generation of artists. The group was part of the Myanmar Hip Hop Association (M.H.A.), which fostered the growth of hip-hop culture in the country.
