Gürschach are a metal band, formed in 2011 in San Francisco, California, United States. The group was founded by X (vocals, guitar), Daniel Justo- Sanchez (drums), and Leyland Reid (guitar). Their original bassist Michael Flynn was replaced a year later by Scotty McRib (bass, vocals). The group blends elements of thrash metal, groove metal, progressive metal, experimental metal, metalcore, and many other genres into a unique style of music they call Dark Matter, named after their self-released debut album from 2017.
