Swedish born violinist Göran Fröst has performed as soloist and chamber musician in most European countries and Japan. As a member of Kammarensemblen, Sweden's leading ensemble for contemporary music, he is a keen interpreter of the modern repertoire and has had many pieces written for him. He works with orchestras such as Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Mahler Chamber Orchestra and 2011-2014 he held the position as principal violist in BBC National Orchestra of Wales. As from 2016 he is the principal violist in Swedish Chamber Orchestra. Apart from his career as a player, Göran is a viola teacher at Royal University Collage of Music Stockholm. He also works as a composer and arranger.
