There are two active bands under the name Gévaudan, and one defunct. 1. Gévaudan is a Progressive Doom Metal Band based in Hertfordshire, UK. They mix traditional Doom Metal, with a modern progressive edge. Biography: Gévaudan formed in 2013 when Bruce Hamilton and Andy Salt met up to jam some heavy riffs; drummer David Himbury joined soon afterwards and the lineup was completed by vocalist Adam Pirmohamed. The band released their first full length album, Iter, in 2019 as an independant release. A follow up second album Umbra released in 2023, under Meuse Meuse Records. Both albums were produced, mixed, and mastered by grammy award winning producer Mike Exeter. Adam Pirmohamed: Vocals/ Keyboards Bruce Hamilton: Guitar Andy Salt: Bass Benjamin Ames: Drums 2. Gévaudan hailed from Ottawa, Canada and were formed in early 2007 by founder Paul Champagne. In June 2007 Gévaudan released an independent, full length CD entitled The Arrogant Chronicles – A Requiem for the Dead, a Deity for the Living. Paul dissolved the band in 2008. Members: Vocals - Paul Champagne; Lead Guitars - Kevin Church; Guitars - Eric Cousineau; Drums - Patrick Gendron, after 2007 Mike Berrigan. 3. Gévaudan is a solo-black metal project from France. Little information is available, aside from the limited release of their debut EP 'Viles Contrées' in 2019. Members unknown.
