Meet Fuzzibox. This coffee induced alter-ego of Donald Lee-Brown has a personality that is built on musical creativity. Fuzzibox was behind 2008’s IMSA cult hit, “Snow Day”—a song that has found its way into IMSA President Dr. Max McGee’s iTunes. Donald has been writing music since early high school, but never had any official compositional training. Initially writing “just for kicks”, the name “Fuzzibox” was born as Donald realized he was creating his first album the summer after sophomore year (2007), “A friend who is into animating was trying to teach me how to use a program. The first thing I made was a box with like 600,000 hairs added on it. It took my computer three hours to generate, and when I saw it I was like ‘Oh, it’s a fuzzy box’. The name sort of stuck, I guess.” “I was bored, the babes digged [sic] that, and it’s now my passion.”, says Donald when asked why he pursued music composition and performance. Though nothing in particular puts him “in the zone”, he finds that when he is there, the music just flows. “Sometimes I doodle a few bars, and then the melody and lyrics just come to me.” Fuzzibox's style has progressed from electronica sophomore year to eurodance junior year, and now it’s back towards electronica again. “I think sometimes it takes a new artist a little while to find their musical niche, like what they really feel good writing. I tried out something new for a while, and decided it wasn’t me.”, he says. His most recent song is called “You and M
